Andy Mikheev

Editor - ESCKAZ (Eurovision)

Andy Mikheev is the Leading Eurovision Song Contest expert and editor-in-chief of the website. In 2003 Andy co-launched the largest Russian Eurovision fan platform Euroforum and in 2004, he founded the International Eurovision fan club for non-European countries. Andy worked as a consultant for various national delegations at the Eurovision Song Contest and also served as a judging member for the Eurovision preselections of Belarus in 2015 and Georgia in 2016. In the inaugural year of the 2018 AfriMusic Song Contest, Andy formed part of the official judging panel and has retained this role in 2019 and has been key in the development of the AfriMusic Song Contest.

Music Content Developer

If you have been in the Ghanaian music industry for over 10 years, there's a good chance you've already met Nii Atakora Mensah of As the Head of Content Development, Nii Atakora is responsible for working with MiPROMO Limited's business units, to support key growth initiatives in the music industry. His content creation goal is to ultimately generate more business within the industry. His outfit also manages and monitizes YouTube channels for all the top artists in Ghana, with the likes of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, RuffTown Records / Midas Touch, Kofi Kinaata and more. The AfriMusic Song Contest has had the pleasure of having Nii Atakora sit as a judging member for the second instalment of the annual contest.

Roy van der Merwe

Eurovision South Africa

Founder of ESCcovers and former President of OGAE Rest of the World for the Eurovision Song Contest, Roy van der Merwe is associated with South African artists and Eurovision songwriters.  Roy has assisted in creating several opportunities for artists to cover the best EuroVision songs in different languages. Roy formed part of the AfriMusic Song Contest judging panel in its inaugural year of 2018 and again in 2019. With his expertise of the European contest, Roy has been key in the development of the AfriMusic Song Contest.

Victor Nunes

Co-founder and Songwriter

Portuguese singer and songwriter. Victor Nunes successfully organised song festivals in South Africa over a period of 10 years and has been involved in the music industry for 40 years. Victors music knowledge and vast experience and expertise in songwriting, has been instrumental to the AfriMusic Song Contest judging panel in 2018 and 2019.


Ameyaw Kissi Debra

Entertainment Blogger

As a multi award winning entertainment blogger from Ghana with over 14 years of experience, Ameyaw Kissi Debra has played a pioneering role in highlighting music, film, arts and personalities in his home country and across Africa. He was the manager for billboard topping music producer, Eric Kwabena "Coptic" Matlock and also played a pivotal role in launching the career of avant-garde Ghanaian rapper, Pappykojo. Ameyaw was a judging member in the 2019 AfriMusic Song Contest.


Nisay Samreth

Editor - Eurovision-FR

French born Nisay Samreth is the editor-in-chief of, the most important French website about the Eurovision Song Contest. Nissay has attended every Eurovision Song Contest as an accredited journalist since 2013 and has also covered additional events, such as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the Eurovision Choir of the Year. Nissay has been part of the AfriMusic Song Contest judging panel for two years and forms part of the contest ethos, where the importance of African culture and music should be highlighted across the world, with the inclusion of promoting the African continent.  Francophonie is also an element of Africa that Nissay wishes to promote on a broader scale.


Promise Motshele

Sound Engineer & Events

Promise Motshele is a sound engineer and is currently majoring in marketing and media studies. She has been in the music, events and production industry for 9 years, having worked on some of South Africa's biggest music platforms, such as the South African Music Awards. Promise was a judging member of the second instalment of the AfriMusic Song Contest in 2019.


Valentina Monetta


Valentina Monetta is a Sammarinese singer, best known for representing San Marino in the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017 Eurovision Song Contests. In the 2014 contest, Valentina became the first and to date, the only Sammarinese entry to qualify for the EuroVision Song Contest Final. Valentina holds the record as one of the woman with the most participations in the Eurovision Song Contest. The first winner of the AfriMusic Song Contest, Symphony from the Kingdom of eSwatini, was invited by Valentina to perform at the EuroClub during the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2019, Valentina was delighted to serve as a judging member for the AfriMusic Song Contest.


Anthony Berardinelli

Entertainment Blogger & Writer

Venezuelan-born Anthony Lopez Berardinelli, now residing in Canada, is an entertainment blogger, writer, musicophile and cinephile. As a Film and Video Production Student at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and previewer for the Calgary International Film Festival in the World Cinema Series, Anthony officially launched The Gramophone Reporter in 2013 and blogs for the Oscars, Golden Globes and other acclaimed Music Awards events. He also covers other music related topics such as the Eurovision Song Contest and is the creator of the annual #PanAmericanSong online contest. Anthony has served as a judging member for the 2018 and 2019 AfriMusic Song Contest. 



Music Label CEO & Producer

Mouloukou Souleymane Koutouma AKA Anso, is the CEO and music producer of Anso Music Festival and Home Jazz Festival. With 20 years’ experience in the music industry from across the African continent, Anso has also managed numerous record labels and has also trained aspiring entrepreneurs to manage artists. Anso served as a judging member for the 2019 AfriMusic Song Contest.
